About SMART Women

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SMART WOMEN PROJECT IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Who would qualify?

To date, we have had a fantastic range of women with unique ideas, skills and personalities. The learners are women interested in starting a business, employed by larger businesses and self employed, based throughout the county. The SMART Women Project is empowering each individual to develop their business, management, communication and confidence skills.

The following eligibility criteria apply:

  • Over 19 years of age
  • Currently employed in business* in Cornwall (employed or self-employed) or
  • Would like to return to full time employment
  • Ideally you will have at least 2 A’ levels, an NVQ equivalent or three years prior full-time work experience
  • You must commit 100% to attending the programme

In addition, you must have the ability to give your full commitment to the project and gain the qualification.

*The majority of people working in the Public Sector (such as funded projects, government agencies etc) may not be eligible for the project. However, if you are committed to increasing your personal career prospects, please contact the Project Manager to discuss this further.

How much does the course cost?

Each place on the programme is worth £3,600 per learner, but the training is offered for free. Please note that learners on the Chartered Management Institute Qualification pathway must pay a £125 registration and qualification fee to show their commitment to the project and their professional development.
